Cookie Policy

Ouzentia doesn’t use cookies in the classic sense, but it does store a few things in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). EU regulation (the ePrivacy Directive) treats this the same as a cookie: what matters is that information is stored on your device, not the exact technology used. That’s why this page exists, and why you see a notice the first time you visit the site.
| What | What for | How long it lasts | Does it need your permission? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your choice on this notice | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected the anonymous identifier, so we don’t ask you again on every visit. | Until you change it from the cookie preferences or clear the site’s data | No — it’s needed to respect the choice you made |
| Questionnaire draft | So that if you reload the page halfway through the questionnaire, you don't have to start over. It includes when you gave your consent to process health data, so we don't have to ask you again within the same reading. | 3 days, deleted automatically | No — it’s necessary to complete what you already asked to do |
| Anonymous identifier | To recall your last reading if you come back on another visit, and to apply the daily limit of free readings per device. | Until you delete it yourself, via “Forget this browser’s history” or from cookie preferences. If you reject cookies after having accepted them, we also ask the server to delete the history linked to this identifier. | Yes — it’s only created if you accept non-essential cookies |
| Pending deletion | Only if, when you rejected cookies, your history couldn’t be deleted at that moment (offline, for example): it keeps the identifier to retry that deletion on your next visit. | Until the server confirms the deletion | No — it’s necessary to complete the deletion you asked for |
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. When you pay, Stripe (our payment processor) may use its own cookies on its own payment page — that's outside our site and subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
You can change your decision about the anonymous identifier at any time:
